This is Sour Punch Twists and they are sour straws candy. Of course its function is to eat them, but not a whole so you wont see the dentist for a toothache. I saw this first with one of my friends who was sharing them while I was in class. I really like them and bought them. The style of the package or design reminds me of Psychedelia Era because of its crazy colors, lines, and it really stands out when you see it in stores. The typeface fits its theme, yet very modern and easier to read then some Psychedelia fonts. This is more of a modern approach. I like the word PUNCH because it is emphasized well. It really has a punch once you have more then one for sure. I think the artwork is playful, attracting, and illustrated well. What attracted me was fisrt it was candy and because I really like bright funky colors last but not least the design is not written across the package but titled on a angle in my opinion. 

Volcom

 This image is a brand name Volcom backpack whatever you want to call it. Its functions is to carry your books in side and also carry your skateboard on the side of the bag. Its more of a punkish look. I saw it in Sun Pacific whatever the store is called in the mall we have in Champaign. I really like the design of the bag because of its colors, the way how typography is placed on the backpack. I went through a phase where I wanted to be a punkish and carry but never happened. The type of style I think it fits it might be psychedelia but I might be wrong. I think the artwork quality stands out. It is well known bag and very expansive back when I bought it. And yes it is a boys bag but who cares these days. It attracted me so I had to buy it, I was going to use it anyway for school so I said why not.

This is an envelop form DHL Global Mail. Okay I am really not sure what this company or thing is about but the function is an envelop. Inside as I read has some type of advertisement lowering your mortgage. This is from my understanding but I saw this in the mail. I really like the design of this it reminds me of Swiss International because of its grid system. Now I am not saying it is from the era but it feel like it has a grid. Everything is aligned and balanced. I think the artwork or the colors is ugly! It has a McDonald s feeling to it. The reason it attracted me because I wanted to see what the hell it was, and the design it came in.

Plackers?

The function of the is dental flossers for PLACERS! This is fast and easy to carry with you to floss when you have something stuck between your teeth. It is very minty and surly freshens hot breath. I think the style of design the package reminds of if American Kitsch because of the shape of the floss and the typography. By looking at the artwork quality seems to stand out because of the heading of the product. My sister is a dental hygienist and always talks about flossing, always scarring me about having to much plack between your teeth and made me want to carry some with me whenever it is needed. That is how it attracted me.

This is a package of a Mexican chicken seasoning, which is amazing! Its function is to make your chicken taste great and of  course season your chicken well. I always shop at Peters Market in Chicago and that is where I first saw this product. Its design reminds me of Art Nouveau but it a modern way. The reason why it because of the typeface and the whole look to it. I am not saying it is Art Nouveau but it just reminds me of it. I know that era has a lot of decorative embalishments. The artwork is illustrated where as if you didn't read, you would know the function of the product it is. The color complements with each other. The design together makes you sense the smell of Mexican seasoning. It attracted me because I like new seasoning taste to different cultural backgrounds.

Fanta logo

This is the before and after logo for Fanta soda. Its function is to people to drink this tangy orange soda.I really like the logo it makes you want to drink it on a summer hot day. I think they did a great job designing this package. So I was looking around trying to find the typeface out, and it was really hard so this is the best I got finding the type and this link http://www.truth-design.co.uk/clients/project/fanta-typeface this or http://www.abstractfonts.com/search/fanta+soda but is really hard because it is an abstract font. This attracted me because I am the type who like to see new logos and how they were before. I like to explore new designs and become inspired by them.

Rice Krispies TREATS!

I was really craving for a snack during my typography class so I went to the cafeteria to get a snack and I remember as a kid I would always eat this so I want to post this on my blog but anyway this is a product where you EAT! It is very good but sorry to say very fattening. Some people use this to eat and some use it to sculpt things out of it for cakes or other wired things I really don't want to know. I really like the design that created for this package because that made space for you to write on the treats or make it into a reminder that you need to stop eating this because it has a lot of calories in it. I know is a cheesy idea but it is clever because people really have the time to write little notes on a treat that you are going to eat and throw the package away. I was searching for the typeface for this product and I think it is Futura Condensed Bold. I was attracted to this because I needed a snack.
